In this study, it is aimed to examine the social sciences textbooks and the syllabi of the elementary school 4th grade and the secondary school 5th grade for children’s safe internet use. Therefore, the research was prepared based on the case study, which is a qualitative method. The data source of the research is the 4th and the 5th grade social sciences textbooks and syllabi. In the data analysis, content analysis method was utilized. According to the results obtained from the research findings, no contents directly related to children’s safe internet use against the possible risks in virtual environments have been found in the 4th grade social sciences textbook and syllabus. On the other hand, the aforementioned contents have been identified in the 5th grade social sciences textbook and syllabus within four different themes, which are ‘Content Risks’, ‘Commercial Risks’, ‘Communication Risks’, and ‘Health Risks’.
