In Turkish media workspace and
representations’ gender stereotypes and inequality between man and woman are
very important problems. This discrimination results from many dıfferent
reasons. In order to discuss these reasons the paper analyses the opinions of
the students of Ege University Communication Faculty, as future media
employees. Under the spotlight of the regulations of the EU, will the students try
to solve the discrimination problem in their representations or is it not
possible to solve it in the existing media structure of the country? This paper
is an evaluation of the discrimination from the viewpoint of students.
