KİTLESEL FONLAMALI DİJİTAL GAZETECİLİK

Abstract

Dijitalleşme,
internet, ekonomik krizler ve sahiplik yapısı kaynaklı problemler gazetecilik
pratiklerini sarsmakta ve alternatif bir gelir modeli arayışını zorunlu kılmaktadır.
Bu çalışma bağımsız dijital gazeteciliğin ihtiyaç duyduğu finansal kaynağın
sağlanmasında kitlesel fonlamanın umut vaat eden bir finansman modeli olma
potansiyeline odaklanan betimleyici bir çalışmadır. Çalışmada gazeteciliğin
içinde bulunduğu durumun sebepleri ve sonuçları irdelenmiş, dijital
gazeteciliğin başvurduğu reklam, abonelik, ödeme duvarı, kamu sübvansiyonları ve
vakıf fonları gibi gelir kaynaklarının bağımsız gazeteciliği fonlamada yetersiz
kaldığı tespiti yapılmıştır. Medya için devletten ve piyasadan bağımsız yeni bir
gelir modellemesi oluşturmanın önemi belirtilerek alternatif bir finansman
modeli sunan kitlesel fonlamanın başarılı bir şekilde uygulandığı gazetecilik
platformları incelenmiştir. Daha sonra Türkiye’de kitlesel fonlama yöntemini
kullanan dijital gazetecilik platformlarına ve serbest çalışan gazetecilere
değinilmiştir. Çalışmada T24, Medyascope ve 140journos’un kurucularıyla yapılan
derinlemesine görüşmeler, bahsi geçen diğer gazetecilerin röportajları ve patreon hesaplarındaki destek çağrı
metinleri veri olarak kabul edilmiştir. Bağımsız dijital gazetecilik için
okuyucu/izleyicileri odak noktasına alan bir gelir modeli yaratmanın yalnızca
finansman anlamında değil ayrıca topluluk oluşturma anlamında da bu gazetecilik
modelini destekleyeceği sonucuna varılmıştır.
