GENÇ TÜRK BAYANLARINDA MEME HACMİNİN NORMAL DEĞERLERİ

Abstract

Kadın memesi büyüklük, şekil ve fonksiyon bakımından çocukluk, ergenlik, gebelik, emzirme ve menopoz sonrası büyük değişiklikler gösterir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, yetişkin, sağlıklı ve evlenmemiş genç Türk bayanlarında normal meme hacminin tespit edilmesi, meme hacmi ile yaş ve beden kitle indeksi (BKİ) arasında bir ilişkinin olup olmadığının araştırılmasıdır. Yapılan bu çalışmada 101 gönüllü bayanda (yaşları 18-30 arasında) meme hacmi Grossman-Roudner meme hacmi ölçüm aygıtı kullanılarak araştırıldı. Her bir gönüllüye ait yaş, boy, ağırlık ve vücut ölçüleri (göğüs, bel ve basen) tespit edildi. Gönüllülerin ortalama yaşı 22, boyu 1,63 cm, ağırlığı 55,2 kg, göğüs, bel ve basen ölçüleri sırasıyla 83,9 cm, 69,4 cm ve 96,5 cm olarak bulundu. Ortalama meme hacmi 272,9 cc (sağ 275,1 cc, sol 270,8 cc), olarak bulunurken sağ ve sol meme hacmi arasında istatistiksel (SPSS, Paired-samples T-test) olarak anlamlı bir farkın olmadığı görüldü. İstatistiksel analizler ortalama meme hacmi ile BKİ arasında anlamlı (r=0.324, p<0.05) pozitif bir ilişkinin bulunduğunu, ortalama meme hacmi ile yaş arasında ise anlamlı (r=0.324, p<0.05) negatif bir ilişkinin olduğunu gösterdi. BKİ ile yaş arasında da negatif bir ilişkinin varlığı görüldü. Meme hacmi bağımlı değişken, yaş ve BKİ’i bağımsız değişken olarak alındığında çoklu regresyon analizi (Backward elimination method) sonuçları meme hacmini etkileyen değişkenin BKİ olduğunu gösterdi

Normal Values of Breast Volume in Young Turkish Women

Abstract

The female breast undergoes dramatic changes in size, shape and function in association with infantile growth, puberty, pregnancy, lactation, and postmenopausal regression. The aim of this study was to investigate the normal values of breast volume and its relation with age and Body Mass Index (BMI) in healthy, young and unmarried Turkish women. In this study, the age, height, weight and body size (chest, waist and hip) were noted and the breast volume was measured with the Grossman-Rounder Breast Measuring Device in 101 female volunteers (age range18 to 30). Results showed that the mean age, height and weight were 22, 1,63 cm and 55,2 kg, mean chest, waist and hip measurements were 83,9 cm, 69,4 cm and 96,5 cm, respectively. Mean breast volume was 272,9 cc (right 275,1 cc, left 270,8 cc) and there were no statistically (SPSS, Paired-samples T-test) differences between right and left breast volumes. Statistical analyses showed that there were positive correlations between the mean breast volume and BMI (r=0.324, p<0.05), and negative correlations between the breast volume and age. When the age increased, the breast volume decreased. The negative correlation was also found between BMI and age (r=0.324, p<0.05). The multiple linear regression analysis (Backward elimination method) showed that only BMI affected the breast volume when the breast volume was taken up as a dependent variable, age and BMI were independent variables
