KOYUNLARDA DENEYSEL OLUŞTURULAN RUMEN ASİDOZUNUN ELEKTROKARDİYOGRAFİK PARAMETRELER ÜZERİNE ETKİSİ

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, deneysel rumen asidozu oluşturulan (oral yolla 80 gr/kg canlı ağırlık dozunda kırılmış buğday) koyunlarda metabolik asidozun vücut sıvıları ve dışkı pH’sı, serum troponin (cTn-I and cTnT) düzeyleri ve elektrokardiyografik parametreler üzerine etkisini araştırmaktı. Kontrol değerleri elde etmek amacıyla asidoz oluşturulmadan önce (0.saat) ve sonraki 12, 24 ve 36. saatlerde koyunlardan kan, rumen sıvısı, idrar, dışkı örnekleri alındı ve aynı zaman aralıklarında elektrokardiyogramları (EKG) çekildi. Asidozdan etkilenen koyunlarda miyokardiyal hasarı belirlemek amacıyla bütün zaman aralıklarında kardiak troponin (cTn-I and cTn-I) analizleri yapıldı. Sonuçta kan, rumen sıvısı, idrar ve dışkı pH’sı asidozdan sonraki 12, 24 ve 36. saatlerde benzer şekilde ve önemli derecede azaldı (p<0.05). Hematokrit değer asidozdan sonraki aynı saatlerde sayısal olarak arttı. Vücut sıcaklığı kontrol değerlerine göre yükseldi (p<0.05). Baz açığı asidozdan sonraki bütün zaman aralıklarında yükseldi ve en yüksek değer -16.0±0.56 idi. Tüm hayvanlarda kardiyak troponin (cTn-I and cTn-T) test sonuçları bütün zaman aralıklarında negatif olarak tespit edildi. Asidoz tüm zaman aralıklarında kalp atım sayısında önemli düzeyde artışa neden oldu. Asidozdan sonraki 12. saatte, QRS süresi ve T amplitudü önemli düzeyde azaldı. Sonuçta, bu çalışma ile deneysel rumen asidozu oluşturulan hayvanlarda kardiyak hasarı gösteren troponin varlığı belirlenememesine rağmen EKG parametrelerinin asidozdan etkilenebileceği kanısına varıldı

Effects of Experimentally Induced Ruminal Lactic Acidosis on Electrocardiographic Parameters in Sheep

Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of ruminal lactic acidosis (RLA) induced experimentally in sheep (by oral feeding of soaked wheat at 80 g per kg BW) on pH of body liquids and faeces, serum troponin (cTn-I and cTn-T) concentrations parameters. To determine the baseline pH values, samples of rumen fluid, venous blood, urine and faeces were collected prior to induction of RLA (0h) and thereafter 12, 24 and 36h intervals. Electrocardiogram (ECG) was also recorded. To evaluate of myocardial degeneration in sheep suffering from RLA, cardiac troponin (cTn-I and cTn-I) analyses were performed at all time intervals. Results indicated that the pH values in rumen fluid, blood, urine and faeces similarly and significantly (p<0.02) decreased at 12, 24 and 36h. Haematocrit increased slightly at all time intervals. Rectal temperature was significantly (p<0.05) higher than the basal values. Base excess increased significantly at all time intervals and the highest value was -16.0±0.56. cTn-I and cTn-T tests were negative for all sheep with RLA. Acidosis produced a marked increasing in heart rate at all time intervals. The QRS duration and T amplitude decreased significantly at 12 h with RLA. In conclusion, EKG parameters of sheep with RLA seem to be affected although cardiac troponin concentrations were not at detectable levels
