BROYLERDE ASİTES

Year 2006, Volume: 15 Issue: 1, 46 - 52, 01.03.2006

Abstract

Ascites in Broilers

Year 2006, Volume: 15 Issue: 1, 46 - 52, 01.03.2006

Abstract

Ascites as a non-infection disease is characterized by excessive fluid accumulated in the abdominal cavity. Ascites is actually a metabolic syndrome and is caused by several factors particularly, high altitude, insufficient air flow, and nutrition. Preventive medicine is the key to fighting ascites. This review deals with the etiology of ascites, its relation to nutrition, its effects on the lungs, clinical findings and necropsy results of ascites, and prevention of ascites
