BEYAZ KAS HASTALIKLI KUZULARDA KALP KASI HASARININ TEŞHİSİNDE KARDİYAK TROPONİN KİT ANALİZLERİ VE SERUM ENZİM AKTİVİTELERİNİN ÖNEMİ

Year 2008, Volume: 17 Issue: 3, 144 - 149, 01.12.2008

Abstract

Bu çalışmada; kuzuların beyaz kas hastalığı
sonucunda oluşan myokard dejenerasyonlarının
teşhisinde, beşeri kardiyak troponin I (cTn-I) ve
kardiyak troponin T (cTn-T) ve serum enzim
aktivitelerinin önemlerinin araştırılması amaçlandı.
Bu amaçla 20 adet beyaz kas hastalıklı, 10 adet
sağlıklı kuzu kullanıldı. Kardiyak Tn-I ve cTn-T
testleri 5 beyaz kas hastalıklı kuzuda pozitif
belirlenirken, sağlıklı kuzuların tamamında negatif
sonuçlar elde edildi. Beyaz kas hastalıklı kuzularda
nekropsi bulgularında kalp ve iskelet kaslarının yer
yer tebeşir beyazı görünümünde olduğu belirlendi.
Yine bu kuzularda ortalama kreatin kinaz MB mass
(CK-MB), laktat dehidrogenaz (LDH) ve aspartat
aminotransferaz (AST) enzim serum aktiviteleri
sırasıyla 216,2±33,8 U/L, 717,7±657,5 U/L ve
126,4±83,3 U/L olarak bulundu. Aynı parametreler
sağlıklı kuzularda sırasıyla 171,2±60,6 U/L,
513,2±210,6 U/L ve 59,2±21,1 U/L idi. Ayrıca bu
parametreler cTn pozitif vakalarda (n=5)
490,5±167,7 U/L, 3804,1±2700,3 U/L ve 734.5±226.2
U/L idi.

The Importance of Cardiac Troponin Kit Analyses and Serum Enzyme Activities in the Diagnosis of Heart Muscle Degeneration in Lambs with White Muscle Disease

Year 2008, Volume: 17 Issue: 3, 144 - 149, 01.12.2008

Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate
the value of human cardiac troponin-I (cTn-I),
cardiac troponin-T (cTn-T) kits and serum enzymes
activities in the diagnosis of myocardial
degeneration in lambs with White Muscle Disease
(WMD). For this purpose, 20 lambs with acute WMD
and 10 clinically healthy lambs were used. Cardiac
Tn-I and cTn-T tests were determined as positive in
the only 5 lambs with WMD, but these tests were
negative in blood samples collected from healthy
lambs. In necropsy findings, the cardiac and skeletal
muscles were observed to be affected by chalky white
lesions. Mean Creatine Kinase-MB mass (CK-MB),
Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH) and Aspartate
Aminotransferase (AST) enzyme activities were
found as 216,2±33,8 U/L, 717,7±657,5 U/L and
126,4±83,3 U/L respectively in lambs with WMD.
Same parameters were mean 171,2±60,6 U/L,
513,2±210,6 U/L and 59,2±21,1 U/L in healthy
lambs, respectively. Additionally these parameters
were determined as 490,5±167,7 U/L,
3804,1±2700,3 U/L and 734,5±226,2 U/L in cTn
positive cases (n=5) respectively. In this group mean
enzyme activities were statistically higher than in the
other groups. Macroscopic findings of heart muscle,
serum enzymes activities and positive cTn results
were correlated in cases with WMD. In conclusion,
cTn assays may be a sensitive and specific marker
for small ruminants with myocardial injury.
