TAVŞAN TİBİALARINA UYGULANAN DENTAL İMPLANTLARIN BİYOMEKANİĞİNİN İNCELENMESİ YÖNTEMİNİN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, osteoporotik tavşanların tibialarına yerleştirilen titanyum implantların biyomekanik özelliklerini tarafımızdan geliştirilen bir ters tork manometre cihazı kullanarak incelemektir. Çalışmada kullanılan altı adet tavşan gelişigüzel olarak bilateral overektomi uygulanan (BO, n:2), bilateral overektomi uygulanan ve östrojen reseptör modülatörü olan raloksifen HCL verilen (BO+ÖRM, n:2) ve Sham overektomi uygulanan kontrol grubu (K, n:2) olmak üzere üç gruba ayrıldılar. Overektomi sonrası 6. haftanın sonunda her üç gruptaki deneklerin tibialarının metafiz bölgelerine standart boy ve çaptaki toplam 12 adet silindirik implant yerleştirildi. BO+ÖRM grubundaki deneklerin her birine her gün oral gavaj yoluyla olmak üzere 12 hafta süresince bir östrojen reseptör modülatörü olan raloksifen HCL (20 mg/kg/gün) verildi. İmplant cerrahisinden 12 hafta sonra sakrifiye edilen deneklerin tibiaları çıkarılarak akril bloklara gömüldü ve tarafımızdan geliştirilen bir ters tork manometre kullanılarak biyomekanik analizleri yapıldı. manometre cihazının yükün sadece kemik-implant ara yüzüne aksedeceği şekilde yeniden tasarlanması gerektiği sonucuna varılmıştır

The Evaluation of the Method Used to Investigate the Biomechanics of Dental Implants Inserted in the Tibias of the Rabbits

Abstract

The aim of this study was to examine the biomechanics of titanium implants inserted in the tibias of osteoporotic rabbbits by using a reverse torque manometer recently developed by the authors. Six rabbits were randomly divided into three groups: bilateral overectomized (BO, n:2), bilateral overectomized and treated with estrogen receptor modulator, raloxifene HCL (BO+ORM, n: 2) and Sham overectomized control group (C, n: 2). At week six, following overectomy, 12 implants with standard length and diameters were placed in the metaphysis of the rabbit tibias in all the three groups. Raloxifen HCL was given (20 mg/kg/day) by oral gavage for a period of 12 weeks to the rabbits in BO+ORM group. After the sacrification of the animals 12 weeks following implant surgery, rabbit tibias were embedded into the acrylic blocks and biomechanical analysis was performed by using the reverse torque manometer developed by the authors. The reverse torque manometer should be re-developed in such a way that the load is transferred only to the bone-implant interface
