SIĞIRLARDA MANTAR HASTALIĞININ SAĞALTIMINDA NEGUVON VE WHİTFİELD’S MERHEMİN BİRLİKTE KULLANIMININ ETKİNLİĞİNİN ARAŞTIRILMASI

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Kayseri yöresi genç sığırlarında trikofitozis (ringworm) sağaltımında Neguvon, Whitfield’s vemerhem etkinliğini araştırmaktır.Çalışmada yaşları 2-20 ay arasında değişen, farklı ırk ve cinsiyetlerde, klinik ve laboratuar muayenelerinde ringworm olduğu belirlenen toplam 35 hayvan kullanıldı. Bu hayvanların 5’ine herhangi bir tedavi uygulanmadı ve kontrol grup olarak belirlendi (Grup I). Hayvanlardan 10 adedine Neguvon pomat (Grup II), 10 adedine Whitfield’s merhem (Grup III) ve 10 adedine ise Neguvon+ Whitfield’s merhem 3’er gün arayla 5 kez uygulandı. Hayvanlar 15 gün aralıklarla 45 gün süresince takip edildi. Çalışma süresince kontrol grubundaki hayvanlarda herhangi bir iyileşme gözlenmedi (p>0.05). Grup II’de 10 hayvandan 7’si (%70), Grup III ve Grup IV’deki hayvanların tamamının (%100) iyileştiği belirlendi (p<0.05).6RQXo RODUDN VığıUODUGD ULQJZRUP VDğDOWıPıQGD Neguvon+Whitfield’s Neguvon ve Whitfield’s pomatların tek başına kullanılmasından daha etkili olduğu belirlendi

The Investigation of Efficacy of Neguvon-Whitfield’s Ointment Combinations for the Treatment of Ringworm in Cattle

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effecicacy of Neguvon, Whitfield’s and Neguvon+Whitfield’s ointment for the treatment of young cattle with ringworm in Kayseri and vicinity. Used in this study were 35 young cattle between 2 and 20 months of age, different sex and breeds, diagnosed as ringworm following clinical and microbiological examinations. These cattle were allocated into four groups of 5 in Group I, 10 in each of Group II, III and IV. Group I served as a control group and received no treatment. As five times with on interval, of 3 days in between, the animals were topically administered Neguvon pomade (Group II), Whitfield’s ointment (Group III) and Neguvon+ Whitfield’s ointment (Group IV). The first drug applications were considered as the 0th day. Animals were monitored at an interval of 15 days up to the 45 day. No remission was observed in the control group (p>0.05). Seven out of ten animals (70%) in Group II and all animals (100%) in Group III and Group IV showed complete recovery during 45 days the observation period (p<0.05). It was concluded that Neguvon+ Whitfield’s ointment for the treatment of young cattle with ringworm is more effective than the Neguvon pomade or Whitfield’s ointment alone for the treatment of ringworm
