DİŞ HEKİMLİĞİNDE HİPNOZ

Abstract

Dental korku ve anksiyete insanlar arasında çok yaygın
görülen bir durumdur. Dental anksiyete dünya genelinde altı kişinden birinde görülmektedir. Diş hekimliğinde
dental anksiyete yönetimi psikolojik ve farmakolojik
yöntemler içermekle birlikte, ilk yaklaşım olarak psikolojik yani davranış yönlendirme teknikleri ile dental
korku ve anksiyeteyi kontrol altına almak hedeflenir.
Son yıllarda dental korku ve anksiyete yönetiminde
davranış yönlendirme tekniklerine ilave olarak hipnotik
terapi de kullanılmaktadır. Bu derleme ile hipnozun tıp
ve özellikle diş hekimliğinde kullanım alanları konusunda diş hekimleri için bir rehber oluşturulması amaçlanmaktadır.

Hypnosis in Dentistry

Abstract

Dental fear and anxiety throughout the world is a very
common condition. Dental anxiety management
includes psychological and pharmacological methods,
but the first approach targets taking control of dental
fear and anxiety with psychological behavior
management techniques. In recent years, in addition to
behavior management techniques hipnotic therapy is
also used in the management of dental fear and anxiety.
With this literature review it is aimed to provide a
guideline for dentist in using hipnosis in medicine,
especially in dentistry.
