Abstract

Birisi 12 yaşlı Alman kurt köpeği, diğeri 3 yaşlı Terrier ırkı iki köpekte metastazik pulmoner neoplazi tespit edil­miştir. Anamnezde Alman kurt köpeğinin 6 ay, Terrierin ise 13 ay önce mastektomi geçirdiği öğrenildi. Meme ve ak­ciğerdeki türnöral kitlenin mikroskobik incelenmesinde Alman kurt köpeğinde malign mikst tümör, Terrierde ise simple tip papiller adenokarsinom belirlenmiştir. Her iki köpeğin hemogram ve biyokimyasal profillerinde önemli değişiklikler izlenmedi. Sadece serum kalsiyum konsantrasyonlarında hafif artışlar görüldü. Alman kurt köpeğinde inguinal ve me­diastinal lenf düğümlerinde tümör oluşumları gözlenmesi lenfojen, Terrierde lenf düğümlerinde türnöral oluşumların gözlenmemesi ise venöz metastaza yorumlandı

The Case of Metastatic Pulmoner Neoplasia In Two Dogs

Abstract

A 12-year old German Shepherd, and 3-year old Tenier showed a metastatic pulmoner neoplasia. Ger­man Shepherd and Terrier dogs had a mastectomy, 6 and 13 months prior to death, respectively. Pathological in­vestigation revealed malignant mix neoplasm in German Shepherd, and papillar adenocarcinoma in Terrier. He­matologic and biochemistry profiles were within normal limits except the serum calcium level with a slight increase. Dissemination of neoplasm in mediastinal and inguinal lymph nodes showed the possibility of lenphogenic metastasis in German Shephard. On the other hand no dissemination of neoplastic cells in lymph nodes of Terrier suggested the possibility of metastasis to be via venous circulation
