Abstract

Akciğerde tip-ll pnömositler tarafından salgılanan ve yapısı itibariyle% 90'ını lipidlerin oluşturduğu surfaktan sis­temi, yüzey gerilimini azaltan. anti-ödematoz etkili ve gaz alış-verişini kolaylaştıran bir komplexdir. Özellikle fötal ge­lişime paralel olarak surfaktanın bileşimi dü değişiklik gösterir ve akciğeri doğum sonrası respirasyona hazırlar. Sur­faktan yetersizliği, özellikle yeni doğan yavrularda önemli ve öldürücü respiratör problemlere yol açar. Erişkinlerde ise pek çok akciğer hastalığında surfaktan miktarı ve bileşiminde belirgin değişiklikler meydana gelir

The Surfactant System of The Lung in Humans and Animals

Abstract

In this article, the importance ol surtaetanı system in animals and human beings was reviewed. The sur­tacıant is synthesized by pneumonocyte type-11 in the lung and consists �ainly of lipids (90 %). This complex subs­tance have an important role in reduction of surface tension, anti-edematous elfeel and taeilitates air exchanges in al­veoli. The composition ol surtacıant varie5 parallel with foetal development and it prepares the lung for posınatal respiration. Particularly in newbom child and animals, the surtaetani deficiency causes important and fatal respiratory problems. On the other hand, many respiratory diseases can cause some changes in composition and quantity of sur­tacıant in adults
