AMİGDALİN İLE ZEHİRLENEN KOYUNLARDA SODYUM NİTRİT VE SODYUM TİYOSÜLFAT İLE TEDAVİ

Abstract

Bu çalışma amigdalin ile zehirlenen koyunların tedavisinde kullanılan sodyum nitrit ve sodyum tiyasülfatın etkilerinin
karşılaştırılması amacıyla yapıldı. Araştırmada rumende siyanür ile kan örneklerinde siyanür, tiyasiyanat, hemoglobin
ve methemoglobin düzeylerinde meydana gelen değişiklikler belirlendi. Araştırmada yaklaşık olarak 2 ya-
şında 20 adet dişi koyun kullanıldı. Üzerinde deneme yapılacak hayvan 1 gün önce akşam saat 17 ' den ertesi gün
uygulamalar tamamlanıncaya kadar aç bırakıldı. Böylece yemden ve sudan ileri gelebilecek olan siyanür kontaminasyonları
önlendi. Amigdalin rumen sondası ile 1.5 mglkg dozunda verildi. Amigdalin verilmesini takiben 1, 2, 4,
8, 24, 48 ve 72. saatlerde rumen ve kan örnekleri alındı. Rumen örnekleri siyanür düzeyleri, kan örnekleri ise siyanür,
tiyosiyanat, hemoglobin ve methemoglobin düzeyleri yönünden incelendiler.Oeneysel olarak oluşturulan siyanür zehirlenmesinde
sodyum nitrit 30. dakikada 5, 15 ve 25 mglkg dozlarında verildiğinde 1 saatte siyanürü 0.210 'dan dozlara
göre 0.082, 0.108 ve 0.115 ug/ml değerlerine düşürdü. Buna karşın 30. dakikada verilen sodyum tiyosülfat is'e 1.
saatte dozlara göre siyanürü 0.210 ' dan 0.139, 0.165 ve 0.179 ug/ml değerlerine düşürdü. Sodyum nitrit + sodyum tiyosülfat
birlikte verildiğinde 1 saat içerisinde siyanürü 0.210 ug/ml den 0.158 ug/ml düzeyine düşürdü. Siyanürle zehirlenmelerin
tedavisinde kullanılan sodyum nitritin sodyum tiyasülfattan daha etkili olduğu görüldü.

Treatment with Sodium Nitrite and Sodium Thiosulfate in Sheep Poisoned with Amygdalin

Abstract

The present experiment was earried out to eompare the effeets of sodium nitrite and sodium thiosulfate
used in the treatment of sheep poisoned with amygdalin. In the study, changes oeeuring levels of eyanide in the
rumen liquor and levels of eyanide, thioeyanate, hemoglobin and methemoglobin in the bload, were determined. In the
study, twenty ewes, aged approximately two years old, were used. The animal on whieh the experiment was made
was fasted from 5 p.m. aday ago to the eomplement of experiment the next day. Thus, eyanide contaminations due to
feed and water were prevented. Amygdalin was given through the rumen probe in the doses of 1.5 mglkg. Samples of
rumen and blood were eolleeted at 1, 2, 4, 8, 24, 48, 72. hours after amygdalin was given. Samples of the rumen were
analysed in terms of the levels eyanide, samples of the blood were analysed in terms of the levels eyanide, thioeyanate,
hemoglobin and methemoglobin. It was observed that sodium nitrite given in the doses of 5, 15 and 25 mgl
kg at thirty minutes deereased the level of eyanide from 0.210 ug/ml to 0.082, 0.108 and 0.115 ug/ml at first hour, respectively.
On the other hand, it was defined that sodium thiosulfate given in doses of 50, 400 and 600 mg/kg at thirty
minutes decreased the level of eyanide from 0.210 ug/ml to 0.139, 0.165 and 0.179 ug/ml at first hour, respeetively. It
was established that sodium nitrite + sodium thiosulfate given in the dose of 25 + 600 mg/kg at thirty minutes deereased
the level of eyanide from 0.210 ug/ml to 0.158 ug/ml at first hour. Sodium nitrite used in the treatment of the
eyanide poisoning was found to be more effeetive than sodium thiosulfate.
