Abstract
ı - Sivas Vilayeti, Kangal Kazasının Gurunşah Çiftliğindeki bini mütecaviz koyunlardan doğan 1 - 15 günlük kuzular arasında % 30 nispetine kadar yükselen ölümlerin; hasta veya yeni ölmüş kuzular üzerinde yapılan klinik, otopsik, bakteriyolajik ve serolajik muayeneler ile, CL perfringens Tip B.'den mütevellit akut seyirli KUZU DİZANTERİıSi'nden ileri geldiği tesbit edilmiştir.
2 - Konulan bu teşhis, İngiltere'deki "The Wellcome Research Laboratories Langley Curt, Beckenham, Kent" Laboratuvarıarına geçen sene ve bu sene suş gönderilerek teyid ettirilmiştir. Suş'ların Alfa= +. teta= -, delta=-, beta= +. epsilon= +. ioda= - , kap- pa=-, lambda= +, müi= + antijenik yapıda KLASiK B TİP'i oldukları ve ayrıca laboratuvarlarında yakın şark emleketlerinden lambda anjeni bulunan klasik B tipi ilk def'a idantifiye edildiği bildirilmiştir.
3 - Ayrıca mezkür Enstitü tarafından gönderileri aşı ve konsantre serumlarla da, bu sene, Gurunşah Çiftliğinde yapılan saha tatbikatında, aşının doğan kuzuları % ıoo nisbetinde koruduğu, konsantre anti- serumun ise % 20 nisbetinde koruduğu tesbit edilmiştir. Normal sürüde yeni doğan kuzular arasında ölüm nisbeti ise % 16,5 tur.

Abstract
1 - An acut case of lamp disentery caused by Cl. perfringens Type B. in the Gurunşah Farm of Kangal, Sivas, has been identified by clinical, bacteriological, serological examination and according to the autopsic findings of the sick and dead lambs. The disease was caused 30 percent mortality amoung new-born lamps betweern 1 - 15 days old.
2 - This identification had been confirmed by "The Wellcome Research Laboratories, Langley Court, Beckenham, Kent, England" by examination of the strains which were sent last year and this year.
3 - The aplication of vaccine and concentrated antiserum against Cl. perfringens Type B. which were sent for this purpose by above laboratories gave ıoo percent protection with the vaccine and 20 percent protection with the antiserum amoung newborn lamps at the Gurunşah Farm. The mortality amoung new-born lamps in the untreated herd is 16,5 percent.
