Studies on the determination of gamma globulin levels in normal lamb sera by refractometer and zinc sulphate turbidity test

Abstract

The main purpose of this study was to carry out to determine
the gamma globulin !eve! and total protein in the serum of different
age and breed lambs by ZSTT and refraktometer. The rela,tionship
be~ween refraktometer readings and zinc sulphate turbidity 'test values
were alsa statisti cal Iy investigated. in this experiment,- 93 blood sera l9mbs taken from different state farms vyere used. The diffe:
rences in terms of 'total protein between serum sa.mples during the
1., 2., 3., and 4 months ıwere not found significant ·(P>0.05). according
to the gamma globulin levels of these groups, the differences
bet!ween the firs· group and the second ıwere not significant (>0.05)
and the differences between the other months were de.termined as
significant (P>0.01).
Same lambs were grouped according to the breet such as Karaman,
Merinos -lamb and Ma.lya. According to the total protein, in
sera !Vıfere not statistically, significant (P>0.05) . in point of ,gamma·
globulin levels in sera determined by ZSTT, the defferences betıween
Karaman and Malya ·lambs mere not significant (P>0.05). but the
differences between Karaman and Merinos and betıween Malya and
Merinos lambs were found statistically significant (P<0.01). The differences
·among the serum tOtal protein and gamma globulin levels
in male and tamale mere not significant (P>0.05) The carrelotian
coefficiant between serum total protein a.nd gariıma globulin ıwas
found to be r = 0.3

Refraktometrik Ve Çinko Sülfat Bulanıklık Yöntemleri İle Normal Kuzu Serum Gamma Globulin Düzeylerinin Saptanması Üzerinde Çalışmalar

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, Türkiye'de yetiştirilen bazı koyun
ırklarının değişik yaş ve cinsiye'tteki kuzularının kan serumlarındaki
gama, globulin dQzeylerini çinkosulfat bulanıklık yöntemi ile 'serum
proteinlerinin refraktometre .ile saptanmasıdır. Ayrıca iki yönt<;ımle
bu 1 una n değerler o rasındaki , i ı işkide istatistiki bakımdan incelenı:niştir.
Çalışma9a · çeşitli müesseselerden alınan 93 kuzu kan serumu
kulla.nılmıştır. Total protein yönünden araştırılan 1 .. 2., 3., ve 4. · ay~
larda ait numunelerde gruplar arasındaki farklar önemsiz bulunmuştur
(P:>0.05). Bu gruplar gama globulin yönünden incelendiğinde 1 ~
ve 2. ay arasındaki fark önemsiz (P>0.05). diğer aylar a.rasındaki ise
çok önemli (P>0.01) olarak saptanmıştır. -
Aynı kuzular ırkiara göre Merinos, Karaman ve Malya ola.rak
. grupland.ırılmış, ırklar arasında serum total proteinleri önemsiz
bulunmuştur (P>0.05).
Çinko sulfat bulanıklık yöntemi ile bulunan serum gama globulin
düzeyleri ba.kımından Karaman, Malya kuzuları arasındaki fark
önemsiz (P>0.05). Karaman, Merinos ve Malya Merinos kuzuları
arasındaki farklar ise çok önemli · bulunmuştur (P>O.G-1 ). Dişi ve erkek
kuzularda serum total protein ve gama globulin ·düzeyleri arasındaki
fark önem.sizdir (P>0.05). ·
Serum tota.l protein ve gama globulin düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkide
korelasyon katsayısı "r= 0.3" olarak hesaplanmıştır.
