Abstract
Hormonlar; uyaran, harekete geçiren "Hormein" kelimesinden kökenini
alan vücudun belirli organ ve dokulan tarafından çok az miktarlarda
üretilen, kan yoluyla diğer organ ve dokulara aktarılabilen kimyasal maddelere
verilen isimdir. Özelliklerine göre hormonlar, bazen organların fonksiyonel
faaliyetlerini ve bazende bunların yapılarını değiştirebilirler. Kimyasal
yapıları bakımından hormonlar 3 temel gruba ayrılabilirler. 1- Steroidler, 2-
Amino asit türevleri, 3- Peptid veya proteinler
