Occurrence of Dispharynx nasuta (Rudolphi, 1819) and Trichomonas sp. in magpies (Pica pica) in Turkey

Abstract

10 Magpies, eaptured in Ankara, werc necropsized and examined
parasitologicly. In 1 of these lO Magpies ( 10%). Dispharynx nasuta and
Trichomonas sp. were detcrınined .
In 1 of the Magpies, totally 45 D. nasuta ( 13 males, 32 females) which wcre
burried deepIy under the mucosa of the proventriculus were collected.
Trichomonas sp. were fo und following the Giemsa staining of the smears made
from the caecum of the same animal.
The existance of these parasites in Turkey was declared tür the fırst time
and these parasites were defıned.

Türkiyede Saksağan (Pıca Pıca)'larda Dıspharynx Nasuta (Rudolphi,1819)Ve Trichomonas sp. Bulgusu

Abstract

Ankara 'da yakalanan 10 saksağan (Pica pica)'ın otopsisi yapılarak
parazitolojik yönden incelenmiş ve bunlardan 1 (% 10)'inde Dispharynx nasuta
Rudolphi. 1819 ve Trichomonas sp. bulunmuştur.
Saksağanların birinde proventriculus mukozasına derin bir şekilde gömülmüş
halde bulunan D.nasuta 'dan 13 erkek 32 dişi olmak üzere 45 adet toplanmıştır
Aynı hayvanda sekumdan yapılan frotilerin Gieınsa ilc boyanmaları sonucu
Triehomonas sp. ' ler saptanmıştır.
Türkiye 'de saksağanlarda varlığı ilk kez bildirilen bu parazitlerin
tanımlamaları yapılmıştır.
