Dichlorvos, an organophosphorus pesticide, is widely used in agricultural control. In the present study, vitamin C
(200mg/kg)+vitamin E (200mg/kg), dichlorvos (1,6mg/kg) and vitamin C (200mg/kg)+vitamin E (200mg/kg)+dichlorvos were given
to male rats orally for 7 weeks. Histopathological changes in the small intestine tissues were investigated using light microscope at
the end of 24h, 4th and 7th weeks comparatively with control group. After 4 and 7 weeks of dichlorvos exposure shortening and dilatation
were observed in intestinal villi. Same histopathological changes in the small intestine tissues were observed at the end of 24h,
4th and 7th weeks.
As a result, lower doses of dichlorvos caused histopathological changes in the rat small intestine tissues. It’s determined that vitamin
C and vitamin E haven’t prevented the pathological changes caused by dichlorvos in small intestine tissue.

Dichlorvos’un Ratların İnce Bağırsak Dokusu Üzerine Etkisi ve Vitamin C ve E’nin Koruyucu Rolü
Organofosforlu bir pestisit olan dichlorvos zirai zararlıların kontrolünde yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada vitamin
C (200mg/kg)+vitamin E (200mg/kg), dichlorvos (1,6mg/kg) ve vitamin C (200mg/kg)+vitamin E (200mg/kg)+dichlorvos erkek
ratlara oral olarak 7 hafta süre ile uygulandı. Muameleden 24 saat, 4 hafta ve 7 hafta sonra ratların ince bağırsak dokularındaki
histopatolojik değişiklikler ışık mikroskobu kullanılarak, kontrol grubu ile mukayeseli olarak incelendi. Dichlorvos uygulandıktan 4
ve 7 hafta sonra ince bağırsakta villuslarda kısalma ve genişleme tespit edildi. Vitamin C+vitamin E+dichlorvos uygulanan ratların
ince bağırsak dokularında da benzer patolojik değişiklikler gözlendi.
Sonuç olarak düşük doz dichlorvos ratların ince bağırsak dokularında patolojik değişikliklerin oluşmasına yol açmaktadır. Vitamin
C ve vitamin E’nin, dichlorvosun ince bağırsak dokusunda meydana getirdiği patolojik değişiklikleri önleyemediği tespit edildi.
