The journal of Education & Youth Research - EYOR is published by the Future of You Association (GelSen).  The aim of the journal is to contribute to the development of educational sciences and every grade of the education system for a more developed country; to enable researchers to publish their studies after scientific processes and to follow studies in educational sciences without any charges, thus allowing knowledge to be shared.

The Journal is an electronic international peer-reviewed, open access research journal that has significantly contributed to the growing importance of perspectives in the analysis of Social Sciences, primarily but not entirely "Education" and "Youth" issues in national, international, and global contexts at all levels/sectors

Peer Review Policy:
All research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymized refereeing by at least two anonymous referees.

The journal engages with theoretical, conceptual, and methodological debates in the broad field of education and youth. It publishes rigorous analyses of educational phenomena, policies, and developments that are of theoretical and practical importance and of relevance to scholars, policy-makers, and practitioners.

Submissions of original manuscripts are welcomed from scholars engaged in high-quality research in all fields, including school-based studies, and from all paradigmatic perspectives in the social and human sciences.

Journal of Education and Youth Research shares engaging, accessible articles that describe cross-disciplinary and cross-sector solutions to specific education challenges and explores cutting-edge thinking regarding:

A typical paper for this journal should be no more than 9000 words in total (i.e. including references, tables and figures). Papers should be sent with Turkish and English abstracts of 150-200 words. There should be 5 keywords under the abstracts.

Manuscripts should be written in Microsoft Word format (doc or docx extension), Times New Roman font, 12 font size, justified and single line spacing. Abstract should be written in 10 font size and single line spacing. Page margins should be 2,5 cm. on all sides. Article Heading should be 14 font size, justified, only the first letter of each word should be capitalized. Citing and formatting reference entries should be in accordance with the principles established by the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, Seventh Edition (2020).

Author Information

Author names should be written in 12 font size, Times New Roman and serial order. Orcid number (https://orcid.org/0000-0001-1111-2222) should be written after the author names.

DECLARATION CONFLICT OF INTEREST

The author (s) of the manuscript must declare that there are no conflicts of personal and financial interest within the scope of the study. They should state this statement under the title of Conf Conflicts of Interest at the end of the article such as "The authors declare that they have no conflict of interest" before the references.

ETHICAL STATEMENT

At the end of the article, before the bibliography, the authors should state the ethical statement as follows:

All the rules announced by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) have been complied with in the whole process from planning to implementation of this research, from data collection to analysis. In the writing process of the study, scientific ethics and quotation rules were followed;
No falsification has been made on the collected data and this study has not been sent to any other academic publication environment for evaluation.

1. General Principles

The Journal of Education and Youth Research -EYOR undertakes to comply with the highest standards that should be applied in terms of scientific publication ethics. In this direction, it adopts the following principles based on the suggestions, principles and guides specified by The Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) https://publicationethics.org/resources/resources-and-further-reading/international-standards-editors-and-authors and all the rules stated to be followed within the scope of the Higher Education Institutions Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Directive (https://www.yok.gov.tr/Sayfalar/Kurumsal/mevzuat/bilimsel-arastirma-ve-etik-yonetmeligi.aspx):

The Journal of Education and Youth Research -EYOR has adopted the "Double Blind Referee Process". In this context, the application and evaluation processes of the articles are carried out through the "Submit an Article" link on our journal's website.

• Articles sent to EYOR should not have been published before and should not be included in the evaluation process of any journal for publication.
• After the articles sent to EYOR pass the pre-evaluation process, they are taken to the double-blind refereeing process and sent to the referee evaluation, with care to protect the privacy of the authors and referees.
• Republishing, plagiarism, fake data, fake authorship, copyright infringement, etc. in submitted and / or published articles. In case of detection of violations of publication ethics and abuse, the flow in the publication ethics schemes (https://publicationethics.org/resources/flowcharts) created by COPE is followed and the articles in question are removed from the publication.
• EYOR defines the ethical principles that editors, referees and authors are responsible for in cases of conflict of interest that may arise regarding the submitted articles and suspends the evaluation process of the article until the conflict is resolved by acting with sensitivity to ensure that the process is carried out in accordance with ethical standards.
• EYOR is sensitive about publishing content such as correction, explanation, apology, and denial.

2. Authors' Ethical Responsibilities
In publications sent to EYOR, authors are expected to comply with the following ethical responsibilities:

• Articles sent to EYOR should not have been published before and should not be included in the evaluation process of any journal for publication. If the article is part of a broader research / project, the title of the research or project should also be declared.
• Authors are responsible for the conformity of the articles they submit to scientific and ethical principles.
• Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of the articles they submit. If other sources are used, it is the responsibility of the author to state this in line with academic and ethical practices. If ethical violations related to this are detected, the article is rejected.
• In cases where manuscripts submitted to EYOR are created with the contribution of more than one author, the authors should make a joint decision on the order of names and apply in this way. It is the author's responsibility to apply with the justification in order to request a change in the ranking of the authors in the studies whose evaluation process continues.

• Requests such as adding an author, removing an author, changing the order of the author are not taken into consideration for articles whose evaluation process has started. It is the author's responsibility to apply with the justification in order to request a change in the ranking of the authors in the studies whose evaluation process continues. Persons who do not contribute actively to the study should not be included among the authors. The responsibility in this matter belongs to the author.
• Authors are obliged to explain the situations and contents that may create a conflict of interest.
• Authors should definitely avoid plagiarism. EYOR asks authors to submit a plagiarism report using a widely accepted plagiarism software to prevent plagiarism. When those who cannot obtain the originality report declare it, our journal will receive this report itself. The report must be below 20% at most, excluding the bibliography.
• In order to avoid plagiarism, the author (s) should cite the studies they use completely and accurately in the text and include them in the bibliography completely and in accordance with APA7 rules.
• Data collection permission, tool / scale etc. required for the data collection process of the article. They must be able to document that they have the necessary permission and competence to use, such as the permission to use, the permission certificate showing that the consent of the participants or the subjects is obtained, and the licensed software used for the analysis.
• The author (s) are obliged to report to the Journal all the errors and mistakes they have noticed about the work, from the first submission stage to the state after the article is published. Authors must inform the editors of the journal in order to carry out correction, explanation, apology and denial of the errors detected after the publication of the study.

• Care should be taken in order to avoid processes that would interrupt the blind refereeing process. In cases where the blind arbitrator is violated, the evaluation of the relevant referee regarding the work is canceled as soon as the violation is detected and the work is assigned to another referee.

3. Responsibilities of Referees
The opinions of the referees are taken as a basis in the decision processes regarding the publication of the articles sent to EYOR. In this context, all publications sent to EYOR are evaluated according to the double-blind peer review system in line with the principles of impartiality, independence and reliability. The roles and obligations of the referees who evaluate for EYOR are listed below:

• In order for the evaluation processes to be faster and healthier, the referees who feel insufficient to evaluate the subject covered in the articles directed to them, who think that the subject is not related to their field of expertise, and / or who do not have enough time for evaluation, should immediately inform the editors so that they can contact the alternative referees and offer a review. their refusal
• They do not share the articles or information about the articles with third parties, whether they accept the review or not, because the articles sent to them are classified as confidential documents, do not use the information they obtain during the arbitration process for their personal interests and in this sense, they abide by the principle of confidentiality,

• To declare clearly when they think that they are faced with a conflict of interest and to inform the editors by refusing to review the relevant article,
• Being objective and constructive while evaluating the works sent to them, using polite language, making comments only on the text sent to them regardless of their personality, and explaining all their arguments about the text with supportive discourse and sources,
• Evaluating the articles they reach within the framework of the journal's publishing policies and ethical principles, informing the editor of the journal about the scientific and ethical problems they encounter.

4. Publisher's Responsibilities
The publisher of EYOR is the Future is You Association. The publisher is responsible for the following aspects of the journal:
• Application of publication ethics principles among stakeholders,
• Providing open access to journal content free of charge and continuously,
Archiving and preserving publications,
• Clarifying and resolving suspected cases of violations of scientific publication ethics.

5. Responsibilities of Editor and Assistant Editors
Editor and assistant editors are responsible for all publications published within EYOR. In this context, the main responsibilities of the relevant people are to ensure that the journal operates in line with intellectual property rights and ethical standards and to take all kinds of precautions regarding the issue. In the event of a suspicion about plagiarism or other ethical standards in the publications that have been published or sent to them for publication, the editors must follow the business charts (https://publicationethics.org/guidance/Flowcharts) determined by COPE in their investigations to resolve the aforementioned concerns. acts appropriately. • Paying attention to the protection of human and animal rights, determining the studies requiring ethics committee approval and requesting this approval from the author,
• Meeting the information needs of readers and writers and ensuring freedom of thought and diversity in the context of the studies published in the journal.
