THE PLACE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND ROBOT TECHNOLOGIES IN THE NURSING PROFESSION

Year 2022, Volume: 2 Issue: 1, 378 - 385, 26.04.2022

Abstract

Technology, which has become an integral part of our daily lives, appears as a dynamic element in many areas, but it improves the quality of life. Artificial intelligence is technologies that have the ability to mimic people's cognitive functions, such as perception, reasoning, problem solving, and decision making. Applications and devices containing artificial intelligence are often used in everyday life. In the current century, technology is developing rapidly, robot technologies and artificial intelligence are also affecting health services. Many areas are affected in health care, including diagnosis, treatment, care, research, and education. Artificial intelligence-based technologies are increasingly being integrated into healthcare, which increases the quality of patient care. Nurses, who have an important place in the professional medical team, need to effectively implement the use of technology and adapt to innovations. Artificial intelligence and robot technologies are used to reduce workload in the nursing profession. In particular, it is used in many areas such as facilitating repetitive jobs of repetitive jobs, creating medications and treatment plans. The possibility that these technologies may have negative effects on the nursing profession is also a cause for concern. It is known that machine intelligence outperforms humans when it comes to intellectual tasks. For this reason, as in all professions, it is thought that the nursing profession may pose a threat to the profession in terms of its performance higher than human thought. On the other hand, the possibility of moving away from the requirements of modern nursing philosophy with the development of robot technologies and artificial intelligence and its integration into the nursing profession is a cause for concern. This review has been prepared in order to evaluate the effects of artificial intelligence and robot technologies on nursing care and to explain the opinions and suggestions.

HEMŞİRELİK MESLEĞİNDE YAPAY ZEKA VE ROBOT TEKNOLOJİLERİNİN YERİ

Year 2022, Volume: 2 Issue: 1, 378 - 385, 26.04.2022
