Abstract

Sliven (İslimye)’de (1856-1842) dünyaya gelen Dobri Minkov, babası Panayot Minkov
ile birlikte Edirne’ye geliyor. 1870 yılında Edirne ve ilçelerinde etnik durum, fiziki yapı
ve kiliselerin konumu ile ilgili izlenimlerini kaleme alıyor. Bu anılar 50 yıl sonar Svetlina
adında bir dergide yer alıyor. Bu makalede söz konusu yolculukla ilgili anılarda yer alan
ilginç gözlemler aktarılmaktadır.

Abstract

In 1870, the Bulgarian intellectual Dobri Minkov (1856–1942) comes to Edirne from
his birthplace Sliven with his father. 50 years later, he publishes his journey memoirs and
impressions about Edirne in a magazine called Svetlina. Today, the memoirs of Minkov are
an important source related to many subjects such as the situation of Edirne and its districts
in 1870, the life of ethnic constituents, historical monuments and the reflection of the news
about independence of churches between Bulgarians.
