Abstract

One of the traditional problems of the Western philosophy of religion is human destiny after death. In this context this article deals with the question of survival after death in connection with the philosophical problem of personal identity. Firstly, some of the criteria of personal identity such as bodily criterion and memory criterion are discussed in search of a basis of personal continuity after death. Then the possibility of life after death is examined and God's part in bringing it about is pointed out.
