FELSEFENİN VE FELSEFE TARİHİNİN ÖNEMİ *

Abstract

Felsefe kelimesinin anlamı hikmet sevgisidir. Felsefenin bazı tanımları ise şöyle sıralanabilir: Platon’a göre felsefe, doğruya varmak, var olanı bilmek için düşüncenin yöntemli çalışmasıdır. Aristoteles’e göre felsefe, varlık olmak bakımından varlık ilmidir. Descartes’e göre “bütün felsefe bir ağaç gibidir. Kökleri metafizik, gövdesi fizik ve bu gövdeden çıkan dallar da öteki bütün ilimlerdir.” Diğer bir görüşe göre felsefe, varlık, bilgi ve değer alanlarında, rasyonel, objektif, şümullü ve tutarlı düşünmektir.
Hikmet doğru bilgi ile doğru hareketin bütünüdür. Allah şöyle buyuruyor: “Allah hikmeti dilediğine verir. Kime de hikmet verilmişse muhakkak o birçok hayra erdirilmiş olur. Ve bunu ancak üstün akıllılar anlar.” (Kur’an 2/269) “Andolsun Kur’an’ı düşünmek için kolaylaştırdık, fakat hani düşünen?” (Kur’an 54/32) Bu ayet, düşüncenin önemini belirtmek için dört defa tekrar ediliyor. Rasulullah: “Bir saat düşünmek bir yıl ibadet etmekten – diğer bir lafızla – 60 yıl ibadet etmekten hayırlıdır” diye buyuruyor.
Katip Çelebi’ye göre felsefenin medreselerden kaldırılması ile Osmanlı medreselerinde ilim rüzgarı durdu ve ilim bütünüyle yok oldu. Felsefe tarihi düşüncenin tarihidir. Filozofların âlemler ve medeniyetler hakkındaki düşünceleri Felsefe tarihi ile öğrenilir. Allah’ın inzal ettiği gerçek din için Kur’an ne ise – la teşbih ve La temsil – beşerî bilimler için felsefe tarihi de odur. Düşünmeyi Allah emrediyor, Rasulullah teşvik ediyor; fakat bazı Müslümanlar karşı çıkıyor. Bu durum büyük bir çelişkidir. İşte bunun üzerinde çok düşünmek gerekir.

Importance of Philosophy and History of Philosophy

Abstract

The meaning of the word philosophy is love of wisdom. Some definitions of philosophy can be listed as follows: According to Plato, philosophy is the methodical study of thought in order to reach the truth and know the existing. According to Aristotle, philosophy is the science of being in terms of being. According to Descartes, “all philosophy is like a tree. Its roots are metaphysics, its body is physics, and its branches are all other sciences. According to another view, philosophy is to think rationally, objectively, comprehensively and consistently in the fields of existence, knowledge and value.
Wisdom is the combination of right knowledge and right action. Allah says: “Allah gives wisdom to whom He wills. Whoever is given wisdom, surely he will be given many good things. And only the super-intelligent will understand that.” (Qur'an 2/269) "We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for thinking, but the one who thinks?" (Qur'an 54/32) This verse is repeated four times to indicate the importance of thought. The Messenger of Allah said: "Thinking for an hour is better than worshiping for a year - in other words - worshiping for 60 years".
According to Katip Çelebi, with the removal of philosophy from the madrasas, the wind of science in the Ottoman madrasas stopped and science completely disappeared. The history of philosophy is the history of thought. Philosophers' thoughts about realms and civilizations are learned through the history of philosophy. What the Qur'an is to the true religion revealed by Allah – la simile and la representation – the history of philosophy is for the human sciences. Thinking is commanded by Allah, the Messenger of Allah encourages him; but some Muslims oppose it. This is a big contradiction. This is where you need to think a lot.
