FACTORS AFFECTING ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN TURKEY

Abstract

This study was carried out to reveal out why entrepreneurship is developed at different levels among regions of Turkey. The secondary data used in the research were obtained from the database of the Turkish Statistical Institute and the Ministry of Treasury and Finance. These data were analyzed by Eviews and SPSS program using multiple regression method. The study has shown that well-being index for provinces, population density, and the proportion of well-educated population to total population affect entrepreneurship at significant level. The results of this survey also indicate that it is not possible to develop entrepreneurship in a region or country without creating the infrastructure required by entrepreneurs and the social facilities demanded by today's people.

TÜRKİYE’DE GİRİŞİMCİLİĞİ ETKİLEYEN FAKTÖRLER

Abstract

Bu çalışma girişimciliğin Türkiye’de bölgeler arasında neden farklı düzeylerde geliştiğini ortaya koymak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu ile Hazine ve Maliye Bakanlığı veri tabanından elde edilen ikincil nitelikteki veriler kullanılmıştır. Bu veriler çok değişkenli regresyon metodu kullanılarak Eviews ve SPSS programları aracılığıyla analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda illerde yaşam endeksi, iyi eğitimli nüfusun toplam nüfusa oranı ve nüfus yoğunluğunun girişimciliği anlamlı düzeyde etkilediği tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca araştırma sonuçları, girişimcilerin ihtiyaç duyduğu altyapı ve bugünün insanının talep ettiği sosyal donatılar oluşturulmadan bir bölgede veya ülkede girişimciliğin gelişmesinin mümkün olmadığına işaret etmektedir.
