Writing Rules

General Description
1.  Authors should prepare the studies they sent to the Journal of Finance Studies in accordance with the explanations made under the heading About the Journal.
2. The information that should be included in the author information for the studies that the authors upload to the journal system in two copies should be as follows:
    * Author Title
    * Author Name-Surname
    * Author ORCID number
    * Author e-mail address
    * Institution of the author
    * City Country
3. On the page containing the author's information, in addition to the information stated above, only the information that should be stated in the footnote about the study should be included.

Title
1. All submitted articles must have Turkish and English titles.
2. In the titles, the first letter of each word should be capitalized, justified and 14 points.

Summary
1. Abstracts should be between 150-250 words.
2. In the abstracts; Care should be taken to include purpose, method, findings and conclusion information.
3. Abbreviations should not be used in abstracts, if possible.
4. The character size should be 10 points.
5. The summary of all studies should be in Turkish and English.
6. Abstract title Character size should be 12 points.

Keywords
1. Keywords between at least 3 and at most 5 words should be written under each summary section.
2. The first letter of each word should be capitalized.
3. The character size must be 10 points.
4. The character size of the keywords title should be 12 points.
5. There should be Turkish and English keywords for each study.


JEL Classification Codes
1. Submitted articles should be classified as JEL (JOURNAL of ECONOMIC LITERATURE)
2. The address http://www.aeaweb.org/journal/jel_class_system.php can be used for classification.

Introduction
1. In the introduction part, the purpose of the study, the method used, the contribution of the study to the literature and the scope of the study should be stated.


Footnote
1. If necessary, explanations can be made with footnotes.
2. Footnote character size should be 10 points.
3. Footnotes should be left justified and the paragraph indent should be zero.
4. Footnote line should not have a left space.

Titles
1. Except for the Introduction, Conclusion and Bibliography titles, the chapters and sub-sections are numbered, and the title of the relevant section and subsection is written after each number.
2. Headings should be written in bold.
3. All headings should be written in bold, justified (without indentation) and only the first letter of the words should be capitalized.
4. The character size of all titles including introduction, conclusion and bibliography should be 12 points.
5. Chapters should be numbered as (1st, 2nd, 3rd, …) respectively, subsections and other subsections below them;

should be numbered as multiple digits.

Font Type

1. Manuscripts should be 1.15 line spacing and a maximum of 25 pages including tables and figures.
2. The manuscript should be prepared in 11 pt Times New Roman and Turkish font.
3. Manuscripts should be justified

Tables
1. Manuscripts should be 1 line-spaced, with tables and figures, and a maximum of 25 pages.
2. The manuscript should be prepared using Times New Roman and Turkish fonts.
3. Manuscripts should be justified
4. In the contents of the tables, the character size should be prepared as 11 pt or preferably 12 pt.
5. References should be written under the table. Character size must be 10 points
6. The reference statement should be written in bold letters, a colon (:) should be placed without any spaces, and the source address should be written by leaving a space.
7. Table contents should be prepared with the fit-to-window feature active.

equations
1. The sequence number to be given to the equations should be placed in parentheses on the right of the page.
2. Mathematical and statistical symbols should be prepared with the Microsoft Office equation editor or a similar equation editor.

Shapes and Graphics
1. Figures and Graphics should be titled and numbered.
2. Figures and graphics should be placed under the titles and should be centered in the text.
3. The graphics must not be the output of a computer software program, they must be drawn as drawings or drawings and must be arranged in such a way that they do not exceed the margin settings.

References
1. Bibliography should start from a New Page.
2. In the bibliography, the paragraph structure should be chosen as "hanging".
3. If there are many references by the same author in the bibliography section, the sources should be written in order from oldest to newest date.
4. The bibliography should be arranged alphabetically according to the surnames of the authors.
5. Only the works used in the article should be included in the bibliography.
6. References not included in the text should not be included in the bibliography.
7. The bibliography should be prepared in accordance with the examples specified.

Bibliography Paragraph Structure
1. Paragraphs should be justified.
2. Right and spl indents should be 0 (zero) cm and hanging 1 cm.
3. Spacing should be 6 pt before and after, single line spacing.
4. Welds hanging 1.25 cm.

Page Structure

1. Margins should be 3 cm from all directions.
2. The gutter should be given from the left.

    *  Articles are sent via DergiPark in A4 paper size and MS Word program. The main text should be prepared using Times New Roman font.

    *  All publication rights of the articles accepted and published in the journal, in written and electronic media, belong to the Journal of Finance Studies.       

    * All communication regarding the article submission and evaluation processes is carried out via the e-mail system using the DergiPark infrastructure. Information is not given over the phone.
