The Emergence of The Bolshevik Revolotion and The Reasons Thereof

Abstract

In this article, the destruction in Russia that followed the Bolshevik Revolution has been studied. Likewise, the World War One led to a big devastation and poverty in Russia, and the economic crisis increased gradually due to the fact that the straits were closed. By October 1916, protestors were chanting anti-war slogans favoring peace and slowly giving signs that the moment that was long awaited by Lenin would come true. The winter of 1916-1917 was very harsh; hunger, lack of fuel and clothing affected whole Russia. Financial difficulties just before the revolution created a pessimistic atmosphere in the country. The Tsarist Russia, who joined the World War One with an intention to gain more land, maintained its policy of ‘staying in the war till the end’ for a period of three years, however, faced serious defeats in 1917
