Analysing Of Teachers Exhaustion Level With Regards To Several Variables

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the teachers’ burnout level, who work in public schools as class teachers and different branch teachers with regards to several variables. In the study 920 teachers’ views, who work in 2014-2015 school years in Malatya are chosen from different schools and branches by random sampling method are utilized. “Burnout Scale” is developed by Maslach and Jackson (1981) and adopted to Turkish by Ergin (1992) is used as data collection tool.

In the result of analysing, it is seen that average emotional exhaustion and depersonalization in ‘Burnout Scale’ are (rarely) participants’ average views in extent of private success are (frequently). According to teachers’ views about burnout, it is defined that there is a meaningful relation between varying of sex, marital status and extent of depersonalization. It is seen that depersonalization scores change meaningfully according to sex. According to the average scores, it was also found that mistress has higher depersonalization average than masters’
