The aim of the study is to examine the effectiveness of factors affecting direct foreign investments for G-20 countries. Selected data are based on the United Nations World Investment Report (1998). Panel data analysis method was used in the study covering the years 2000-2017 and gross domestic product, trade openness and political stability data were included in the analysis as determinants of direct foreign capital. Cointegration and causality analyzes have been made, and as a result of the analysis it has been concluded that there is a long-term relationship between the factors addressed and foreign direct investment. It has been found that there is a one-way causality relationship from foreign direct capital investments to gross domestic product and from foreign openness to foreign direct capital investments. : Foreign Direct Capital Investment
