This study, which was carried out to determine the effect of the social intelligence levels of nursing students on their communication skills, was designed according to the descriptive and relational survey model. The research was conducted with first and fourth year undergraduate students in the nursing department of a university. Personal Information Form, Tromso Social Intelligence Scale and Communication Skills Inventory were used to collect data. The data obtained were evaluated by simple linear regression analysis and multiple regression analysis. The arithmetic mean of the social intelligence levels of the students was 51.02, and the arithmetic mean of their communication skills was 106.01. Therefore, it was determined that the social intelligence of the nursing students included in the study was below average and their communication skills level was moderate. When the findings obtained as a result of the research were examined, it was seen that the social intelligence of the students was in a positive relationship with their communication skills.
