Triobezoar, a Rare Cause of Small Bowel Obsturction in a Patient with Mental Retardation

Abstract

Twenty one year old lady with a previous history of mental retardation, presented to surgical emergency department with features of acute intestinal obstruction. Exploratory laparotomy revealed trichobezoar in the terminal ileum without a parent bezoar in the stomach. She was managed by resection of the affected segment of the bowel, end to end anastomosis of the ileum. ©2006, Fırat Üniversitesi, Tıp Fakültesi

Mental Retardasyonlu Olguda Trikobezoara Bağlı Nadir Bir Komplikasyon: İzole İnce Barsak Tıkanması

Abstract

Mental retardasyon hikayesi olan 21 yaşında genç bayan hasta akut ince barsak tıkanma bulgularıyla acil servise başvurdu. Eksploratif laparatomide mide de eşlik eden bezoar olmaksızın terminal ileumda trikobezoar gözlendi.
