Abstract

Bu yazıda dil felsefesi ve pragmatizm arasındaki ilişkiye, dilin biçimsel bir olanak olmaktan çıkması ve betimleme yapan özne ile betimleme arasındaki betimleyebilirlik olanağını yitirmesi açısından bakıp, bu bütüncül yaklaşımın pragmatist etik üzerindeki etkisini tartışıyorum. Sonuç olarak pragmatizmin bütüncül anlayış bağlamında oluşturduğu etik anlayışın yetersiz olduğunu öne sürüyorum.

Pragmatism, Language, Describability and Ethics

Abstract

In this article, I focus on the relation between the holistic approach to the philosophy of language and pragmatist ethics stemmed from this descriptivist understanding of language that blurs the distinction between the formal condition of possibility of subjectivity and the contingency of contextual pre-determination. I conclude that ethics of pragmatism as a result of this holistic understanding of agency is inadequate
