Proclaiming the end of modernism and assuming the mission to manage the theoretical crises in almost every area of philosophy, postmodernism open to debate the ethical problems in contexts that we are not accustomed to. One of these contexts is the relations between the arrangements of social space and the ethical responsibility. Impressed by Levinas, Bauman, who is important representative of postmodern ethics, considers morality as a relation of responsibility toward the others. According to him, the arrangements of social space sets moral subject against the other, due to the various strategic reasons. With this step, the social space engineering comes to be a barrier against a better world, because it displace the moral responsibility.
Modernizmin sonunu ilan ederek felsefenin hemen her alanında teorik krizleri yönetme misyonu üstlendiğini iddia eden postmodernizm, etik sorunları alışkın olmadığımız bağlamlarda tartışmaya açar.
