The aim of this study is to research the place and importance of Aristotelian movements in the Renaissance. According to the common view, modern Science and thought emerged in the Renaissance due to the criticism and rejection of the Aristotelian conception of Science. In addition, according to those who support this understanding, it has been argued that Aristotle's philosophy completely disappeared in the Renaissance, Platonic philosophy replaced it, and finally Platonist philosophy was effective in the establishment of modern Science. However, according to the counter thesis, which is partially known in the Western literature and almost unknown in our country, it has been argued that Aristotelian philosophy or Aristotelianism did not completely disappear in the Renaissance and even in the 17th century, on the contrary, it evolved and laid the groundwork for modern Science and thought. In this context, in our study, we discussed the issue of Aristotelianism in the Renaissance in terms of both shedding light on this controversial issue and contributing to the literature in the context of the arguments of the second school. As a result, it has been seen that Aristotelian philosophy did not completely disappear in the Renaissance and 17th century, within the available sources, on the contrary, this philosophy was further developed in a methodological context at the University of Padua and laid the groundwork for the modern scientific method led by Galileo.
