https://doi.org/10.25295/fsecon.828451

Abstract

Year 2021, , 280 - 295, 10.01.2021
https://doi.org/10.25295/fsecon.828451

Abstract

COVID-19 is a humanitarian crisis on a global scale. The COVID-19 pandemic have an unprecented disruption to the global economy. Production and consumption are decreased across the globe. The fact that COVID-19 is affecting both economic structure and international trade patterns should not surprise any one.
Before making policy recommendations, it is important to identificate the problem and the damage assessment. In this context, in this paper it is aimed to show the problems about trade which were generated by COVID-19. The effect on the foreign trade has been explained with a statistical method. We evaluate in this paper that the countries which were depended much on imports such as Turkey will be adversely affected by the pandemic and they need to set out more stringent policy sets.
