Abstract

The Ottoman Empire and Its Heritage serisinin altmış dokuzuncu kitabı olan
bu eserin yayımlanmasına imkân sağlayan 2014 yılının Nisan ayında Sofya’da
gerçekleşen 1683-1689 yılları arasındaki savaşlar ve Karlofça Antlaşması’nı
konu alan atölye çalışmasıdır. Böyle bir çalışmanın yapılması ise, yine 2013 yılının
Mart ayında Sofya’da başka bir atölye çalışması sırasında, kitabın editörlerinden
biri olan Colin Heywood’un bir sonraki atölye çalışmasının fikrini ortaya
atmasıyla gerçekleşmiştir.
