Faz diyagramında plazmanın konumu

Öz

Faz geçişleri ve kritik parametrelerin incelenmesi yaklaşık yüzyıllık bir geçmişe sahiptir. Bilimin bu alanına gösterilen ilgi, önemli araştırmalarla faz geçişleri ve maddenin kritik durumlarıyla ilgili bir bilgi birikimi elde edilmesini sağlamıştır. Buna karşın, yapılan teorik ve deneysel çalışmalar halen maddenin basınç, sıcaklık diyagramının tamamlanmamış olduğunu da göstermektedir. Özellikle (p-T) faz diyagramında plazmanın yer almaması, sıvı fazın basınca bağlı sınır aralığının belirsizliği ve denge eğrilerinin durumu araştırmaların odak konularının oluşturmaktadır. Saf maddenin hal diyagramında (p-T) sadece üç fazın ve bu fazları birbirinden ayıran sınır eğrilerinin iki temel nokta ile temsil edilmesi hal diyagramını sınırlandırmaktadır. Buna karşın, evrenin %98’ni oluşturan ve maddenin dördüncü fazı olarak kabul görmüş olan plazmanın (p-T) faz diyagramında yer almaması ve sıvı fazın belirsizliği devam ettikçe, faz geçişleri ve kritik parametrelerin çözülmesi mümkün değildir.
