PEM yakıt hücresi uygulamaları için imidazol fonksiyonel nano SiO2/Nafyon nanokompozit membranların üretilmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada yeni nesil enerji kaynakları arasında önemli bir yere sahip ve yenilikçi bir çalışma alanı olan Proton Değişim Membranlı Yakıt Hücreleri (PEMFC)’nde kullanılmak üzere, nanokompozit membranlar üretilmiş ve karakterizasyon işlemleri yapılmıştır. PEMFC’ de proton (H+) iyonlarının iletimini sağlayan nano yapılı kompozit membranların üretimi için SiO2 nano parçacıkları ile İmidazol (Im) Benzimidazol (BIm) ve Fenilimidazol (PIm) ile SiO2 nanoparçacıkları modifiye edilmiştir. Nafyon ile fonksiyonel nano yapılar ağırlıkça % 3, 5 ve 10 oranlarında karıştırılarak nanokompozit membranlar hazırlanmıştır.

          İki aşamalı bir yöntem izlenen çalışmada öncelikle Im, BIm ve PIm ile SiO2 nano parçacıkları arasında etkileşim sağlanarak hazırlanan solüsyonlardan fonksiyonel nano parçacıklar elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen nano parçacıklar, Nafyon ile karıştırılarak solüsyonlar hazırlanmış ve ipek baskıda proton iletken nanokompozit membranlar hazırlanarak karakterizasyon işlemleri yapılmıştır. Malzemelerin homojen dağılımı ve yüzey morfolojisi SEM, bileşenler arası moleküler etkileşimin varlığı FT-IR spektrumu ile tespit edilmiştir. Yüksek sıcaklıklarda termal kararlılık gösterdiği TGA ölçümleri ile neme karşı dayanımı Su Tutma Testleri, Metanol Tutma Testleri ile ve iyon iletimi kapasitesi Proton İletkenlik Testleri ile gözlenmiştir. Ayrıca membranlara ait camsı geçiş sıcaklığı (Tg) değerleri DSC ölçümleri ile belirlenmiştir.

          PEMFC’ de kullanılmak üzere geliştirilen polimer nanokompozit membranların üretiminde, SiO2 nano parçacıklarının imidazol gruplarıyla fonksiyonelleştirilmesinin başarılı bir şekilde gerçekleştirildiği, yapılan ölçümler sonucu nanokompozit membranların yüksek iletkenlik değerine (0.04 Scm-1)sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir.
