Abstract

Bu araştırmada küreselleşen İstanbul metropoliten alanında yabancı sermayenin oluşturduğu mekansal örüntü1925-2006 yılları arasında İTO’ya (İstanbul Ticaret Odası’na) kayıt yaptırmış kuruluşlar üzerinden analizedilmiştir. Yabancı yatırımcıların yer seçimi kararı kentsel gelişimi etkilemekte midir? sorusundan yola çıkan buaraştırma kapsamında yapılan analizlerde veri tabanlarını bilişsel algı düzeyinde okumaya olanak tanıyan,açıklayıcılık düzeyi yüksek ilişkisel katmanlaştırma modeli [1] kullanılmıştır. Bu makale hem özgünbulgularının varlığı hem de kullandığı model kapsamındaki yeni yöntemler olan mütekabiliyet (correspondance)analizleri-haritaları ve Bertin çizelgeleri ile diğer çalışmalardan ayrılmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın temel bulgusuİstanbul’da yabancı yatırımlar kent makroformunu şekillendirmede önemli olduğudur.
