Socio-economic Characteristics in terms of Attitudes towards to the Risk of Farmer in TRA I Region

Abstract

The aim of this study is to define the factors, which affect the attitudes of farmers living in the TRA 1 region, to which cities of Erzurum, Erzincan and Bayburt belong, towards to the risk management so that their level of welfare could be raised. For this purpose, total of 122 questionnaires have been conveyed and used in analysis in TRA 1 regions; Erzurum (52 questionnaires), Erzincan (36 questionnaires) and Bayburt (34 questionnaires). According to the results of the analysis, 56.6% of the farmers belong to the group, in which the taking risks or making investments with the possibility of risk are not be preferred; but 22.1% of farmers are willing to take the risks until their expectations will be fulfilled, they have also the ability to manage the risk and are decisive and they manage their actions with the best possible economic aspects and belong to the neutral group. The amount of the farmers, who are the fan of risky investments and adventurous are calculated as 21.3% in the area. In Bayburt, Erzurum and Erzincan, more than half of the farmers are for the side of riskless investments. The percentage values of the farmers taking the risky investments per to the cities as follows; Bayburt 14.8 ; Erzincan 22.2 and Erzurum 21.2% and they are regarded to be in the neutral group

TRA I Bölgesindeki Çiftçilerin Riske Karşı Tutumları Açısından Sosyo-Ekonomik Özellikleri

Abstract

Bu çalışmada Erzurum, Erzincan ve Bayburt illerinden oluşan TRAI Bölgesindeki çiftçilerin refah düzeylerinin artırılabilmesi için riske karşı tutumlarında etkili olan faktörlerin ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla TRAI Bölgesini oluşturan Erzurum (52 anket), Erzincan (36 anket) ve Bayburt (34 anket) illerinde 122 anket yapılmıştır. Analiz sonuçlarına göre anket yapılan çiftçilerin %56.6’sı tedbirli ve en az riskli yatırımları tercih eden kişiler olup risk sevmeyen grupta, %22.1’i beklenen gelirleri en yüksek oluncaya kadar risk alan, kararlı, riski yönetme kabiliyeti olan, ekonomik açıdan en ideal davranan kişiler olup riske nötr grupta bulunmaktadırlar. Bölgede riskli yatırımları seven, maceracı çiftçilerin oranı %21.3 olup risk seven grupta yer almaktadırlar. Bayburt, Erzincan ve Erzurum’da çiftçilerin yarıdan fazlası risk sevmeyen grupta yer almaktadır. Bayburt’ta çiftçilerin %14.8’i, Erzincan’da %22.2’si risk seven, Erzurum’da ise %21.2’si riske nötr grupta yer almaktadır.
