Analysis of the Factors Affecting Goat Cheese Consumption in the Center of Kahramanmaraş Province

Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyze consumers' goat cheese consumption habits and factors that are effective in this habit in Kahramanmaras province. For this purpose, 272 consumers selected with the proportional sampling method were interviewed with face to face survey in the Kahramanmaraş province. The data obtained from the survey were analyzed by using Chi-Square test of independence and one way ANOVA test. At the purely descriptive level, approximately 37.1 percent of consumers in this study claimed to consume goat cheese and the expenditure shares of goat cheese consumption on total food consumption is 2.3 percent. According to results, consumer income, number of family members and the benefits of goat cheese were found to be statistically important factors on goat cheese consumption habits

Kahramanmaraş İli Kent Merkezinde Keçi Peyniri Tüketimini Etkileyen Faktörlerin Analizi

Abstract

Kahramanmaraş ili kent merkezinde yapılan bu çalışmada tüketicilerin sosyoekonomik ve demografik özellikleri yanı sıra keçi peyniri tüketim alışkanlıkları ve bu alışkanlıklarda etkili olan faktörlerin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla Kahramanmaraş ili kent merkezinde oransal örnekleme yöntemiyle belirlenen 272 tüketici ile yüz yüze anket yapılmıştır. Anketlerden elde edilen verilere ki-kare bağımsızlık testi ve tek yönlü Anova analizleri uygulanmıştır. Anket yapılan tüketicilerin yaklaşık %37.1’i keçi peyniri tüketmekte ve keçi peyniri tüketim harcamalarının toplam harcamalar içerisindeki oranı ise %2.3 olarak saptanmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, tüketici geliri, ailedeki birey sayısı ve keçi peynirinin faydaları hakkında bilgi sahibi olma durumu keçi eti tüketiminde istatistikî açıdan önemli bulunmuştur
