ENVIRONMENTAL KUZNETS CURVE ANALYSIS ON EFFECTIVE FACTORS IN ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION IN YEŞİLIRMAK AGRİCULTURAL BASIN
Abstract
11 provinces within the scope of Yeşilırmak agricultural basin were included in the study. Environmental Kuznets Curves (EKC) were prepared from the time series of the period 1990-2014 relating to thearea containing the basin area. In this way, the relationship between the greenhouse gases shown to cause climatic change and the per capita income of the region has been revealed. According to this assumption, the relationship between the national income per capita and the emissions of PM10 and SO2 in the Yeşilırmak Agricultural Basin has resulted in an inverse "N" EKC. This means that the increase in revenue in the basin is not a significant phenomen on during the period covered. These results overlap with previous studies for Turkey. As a result, in line with the general tendency of Turkey, it is observed that the income increase in the ones in Yeşilırmak Agriculture Basin is on the rise. This must be in harmony with a sustainable development taking into consideration the environmental costs. There lease of SO2 is in the case of other than Çorum. The value of PM10 was found to increase in Amasya, Çankırı, Çorum, Giresun, Kastamonu and Ordu provinces. According to the trend value, Tokat which is an agricultural region is exposed to PM10 emission in the first place while Samsun is in these cond place.
