BRICS Ülkelerinin Tarım Potansiyellerinin MARCOS Yöntemiyle Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Tarım sektörü tüm ülkelerde olduğu gibi BRICS ülkeleri için de vazgeçilmez bir sektördür. BRICS ülkeleri dünya tarımsal ürün üretimi ve dış ticaretinde önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. Bu araştırma BRICS ülkelerinin (Brezilya, Çin, Mısır, Etiyopya, Hindistan, Endonezya, İran, Rusya, Güney Afrika, Birleşik Arap Emirlikleri) tarımsal potansiyellerinin incelenmesi amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın verileri FAO ve Dünya Bankası veri kaynaklarından sağlanmıştır. Araştırmada MARCOS yönteminden faydalanılmış ülkelerin tarımsal potansiyellerini ortaya koymak amacıyla ekilebilir tarım alan, tarım, ormancılık ve balıkçılıktan elde edilen katma değer, tarımsal alan, patates üretimi ve tarımda istihdam edilen nüfus kriterlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmada BRICS ülkeleri arasında Çin, Hindistan ve Rusya’nın en yüksek tarımsal potansiyele sahip ülkeler olduğu belirlenmiştir.

Assessment of the Agricultural Potential of BRICS Countries Using the MARCOS Method

Abstract

The agricultural sector is indispensable for BRICS countries, as it is for all countries. BRICS countries play a significant role in global agricultural production and foreign trade. This study was conducted to examine the agricultural potential of BRICS countries (Brazil, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Russia, South Africa, United Arab Emirates). The data for the study was obtained from FAO and World Bank data sources. The MARCOS method was used in the study to reveal the agricultural potential of the countries, utilising criteria such as arable land, added value from agriculture, forestry and fisheries, agricultural area, potato production and population employed in agriculture. The study determined that China, India, and Russia are the countries with the highest agricultural potential among the BRICS countries.
