THE EFFECT OF DIFFERENT PRACTISING METHODS ON ACQUISITION, RETENTION AND TRANSFER OF A MOTOR SKILL

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyse the effect of different application methods on acquisition,retention and transfer of dart throw.For that purpose,21 male high school students, aged 15 were divided into two groups.one is fix distance(S) and the other is variable distance(S+DM). S group did 45 throw from 2.39 m. and S+DM group did per distance 15throw from 1.47,2.39 and 3.30 m. Acquisition phase longed one day and after three days from acquisition phase was done retention and transfer tests. Inter-groups were compared with Mann-Whitney U test,while intra-group were compared with Friedman Two-Way Anova -F test.Between groups (S vs S+DM),any significant differences were not found for acquisition,retention and transfer phases(p>0.05),but both for S and for S+DM groups were found significant differences for acquisition-transfer and retention-transfer phases(p<0.05).Some of these results may not coincide with the previous researchs due to the number of throws. Fewness of throws may cause to happen enough schema for transfer.

DEĞİŞKEN UYGULAMA YÖNTEMLERİNİN BİR MOTOR BECERİNİN KAZANIMI, HATIRLAMA VE TRANSFERİ ÜZERİNE ETKİSİ

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı farklı değişken uygulama yöntemlerinin dart atışının kazanımı, hatırlama ve transferi üzerine etkisini incelemektir. Bu amaçla yaşları 15 olan 21 erkek lise 1 öğrencisi sabit (n=10) ve sabit+ değişken mesafe (n=11) grubu olarak iki gruba ayrılmıştır. Sabit mesafe (S) grubu 2.39m den 45 atış, sabit+değişken mesafe (S+DM) grubu da 1.47, 2.39 ve 3.30m den olmak üzere seri olarak her mesafeden 15 atış olmak üzere toplam 45 atış yapmıştır. Kazanım fazı bir gün sürmüş, kazanım fazından 3 gün sonra hatırlama ve transfer testleri yapılmıştır.Gruplararası karşılaştırmalar Mann-Whitney U testi ile,grup-içi karşılaştırmalar ise Friedman İki Yönlü Varyans Analizi- F Testi ile yapılmıştır.Gruplararası karşılaştırmalarda (S ve S+DM) kazanım,hatırlama ve transfer fazlarının hiçbirinde anlamlı bir fark bulunamazken(p>0.05) ,grup-içi karşılaştırmada hem S grubunun hem de S+DM grubunun kazanım-transfer ve hatırlama-transfer fazları arasında anlamlı farklar bulunmuştur(p<0.05).Bu sonuçların bazıları daha önceki araştırma sonuçlarıyla uyuşmamakla birlikte, bunun nedeni kazanım aşamasındaki atış sayısının azlığı olabilir. Tekrar sayısının azlığı transfer için yeterli düzeyde şema oluşturmamış olabilir.
