FİZİKSEL AKTİVİTE VE KEMİK YOĞUNLUĞU

Abstract

Fiziksel aktivite veya
mekanik yüklenme kemik doku ve kemik kuvvetinin belirlenmesinde önemli bir
faktördür. Hareketsizlik veya uzun süreli yatak istirahati iskelet sistemini
negatif etkileyerek hızlı ve sürekli kemik kaybına neden olur. Genel olarak
fiziksel aktif kadınlar ve sporcular, aktif olmayan sedanter kadınlardan daha
yüksek kemik yoğunluğuna sahiptirler. Koşu veya yürüyüş gibi vücut ağırlığı yüklenmeli
aktiviteler kemik doku ve yo-ğunluğunda östeojenik etki yapmaktadır. Bu
çalışmanın amacı, mekanik yüklenmenin kemik doku gelişimi ve kaybı üzerine
etkisinin konu ile ilgili yapılmış çalışmalar doğrultusunda gözden geçirilerek
incelenmesidir. Özel-likle egzersiz ve kemik yoğunluğu ilişkisi üzerinde
durulmuştur.
