ASSESMENT OF LACTAT LEVEL OF TURKISH YOUNG NATIONAL FEMALE VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS AFTER MAXIMAL AEROBIC EXERCISE

Year 2005, Volume: 10 Issue: 1, 45 - 50, 01.01.2005

Abstract

The aim
of this paper was to assess the blood lactat level after maximal aerobic
exercise, maximal aerobic power (max VO2) and maximal anaerobic power of
Turkish young female national volleyball players. A total of 18 young female
members of Turkish national volleyball team were voluntarily participated in to
this study. Subjects’ mean age, height, body weight and sports age were
16,7±1,3 years, 183±5,2 cm, 72,5±3,6 kg and 7±1,1 year respectively.
Shuttle-run test was used to find out the aerobic power of subjects. In
addition Bosco mat was used to assess subjects’ anaerobic power. In order to
control subjects’ maximal fatigue level, heart rate was measured just end of
the shuttle-run test protocol. Blood lactate level of subjects was measured before
and after maximal aerobic exercise loading by using Accutrend portable lactate
analyzer. Statistical analyses were done by using paired t-test in SPSS package
program. In conclusion of this study; resting mean lactate levels of subjects
(3,10±1,3 mmol/L) were significantly increased (377%) at the end of the maximal
exercise (11,7±3,7mmol/L) (p<0,001). In addition; Subjects’ mean max VO2 and
anaerobic power were 45,3 ±3,3 ml.kg/dk, 88,4 ±7,1kg.m/sn respectively. These
findings were found similar with related literature.

TÜRK GENÇ MİLLİ BAYAN VOLEYBOLCULARIN MAKSİMAL AEROBİK EGZERSİZ SONRASI LAKTAT DÜZEYLERİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Year 2005, Volume: 10 Issue: 1, 45 - 50, 01.01.2005
