ENGELLİ BİREYLER İÇİN FİZİKSEL AKTİVİTE: 2009-2010 ÇALIŞTAYLARI SONUÇ RAPORU

Year 2010, Volume: 15 Issue: 2, 21 - 28, 15.04.2010

Abstract

ADAPTED PHYSICAL ACTIVITY: FINAL REPORTS OF 2009-2010 WORKSHOPS

Year 2010, Volume: 15 Issue: 2, 21 - 28, 15.04.2010

Abstract

Two workshops were held respectively in 2009 and 2010 in Turkey under the name of “National Adapted Physical Activity Workshop” in order to strengthen academically the professionals working in the APA field in our country, to ensure cooperation among themselves, to motivate them for research work, hence to contribute to the development of this field both as a profession and as a science by improving and diffusing the existing APA knowledge. In this article, conclusion reports of both workshops were compiled and taken into account and the points included in both reports were comparatively discussed, supported by experiments of international level. As a conclusion, it was recommended to call for legal arrangements and adjustments and for close cooperation between the interested bodies allowing APA to develop as a science, as a profession, as a recognized service and as a legal right.
