Sporcularda Dengenin Postürografik Yöntemlerle Değerlendirilmesi

Year 2020, Volume: 25 Issue: 3, 141 - 148, 01.07.2020

Abstract

A Review on the Evaluation of Balance By Means of Posturographic Measurements in Sport Players

Year 2020, Volume: 25 Issue: 3, 141 - 148, 01.07.2020

Abstract

It is crucial that an athlete has a good postural balance and sustainability of that balance to enhance athletic performance and avoid injuries. While static balance is the ability to maintain balance on stable ground, dynamic balance is the ability to maintain the balance while the person or/and the surface are moving. Balance performance may differ from each sports branch, the performance would be affected by the static balance in some branches while dynamic affects it in some other branches. To determine the risk of injury and returning to sports after injury of the athletes, balance tests are widely used. For this aim, static and dynamic posturography technics are commonly used. The aim of this review is to investigate the posturographic methods used to assess the balance of the athletes.
