Aim & Scope

Turkish Journal of Security Studies is an open-access academic and scientific journal that is published twice a year by the Turkish National Police Academy, Institute of Security Sciences. It is published in print and e-journal formats. Its main aim is to publish original articles from various disciplinary or interdisciplinary perspectives. There is no fee for authors to publish in our journal.

License permitted by the journal is CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 (Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International). For the license, authors retain the copyright and full publishing rights without restrictions.

The artciles submitted to our journal are subject to editorial review and double blind peer review processes.

The articles are also subject to plagiarism check. Plagiarism detection service Turnitin is used for this purpose.

Turkish Journal of Security Studies focuses mainly on “Security” issues. In this framework, it is open to all studies in the field of social sciences and humanities.

Some of the areas that are covered in Turkish Journal of Security Studies are as follows: security studies; policing studies; radicalization; terrorism; crime investigations; intelligence; financial crimes; cyber crimes; immigration and border security; drugs and organized crime.
