Abstract
In Turkish cultural life archery activities within different environment and that is seen it is functions, Turkish archery has rich practical field. Besides it\'s economical value hunting which in able to development of ability related to archery, also which has priority of military social, administrative and sports related fonctions. Organization of military and religious ceremonies which required intensive prework are seen in social life of people as sportive competition. Nomadic people who live in Euroasia geograpy, the technological differences and sufferences in practise of bow and arrow which make them superior to the civilized people, subidentify which is reached to esoteric resource point. Abstract
Türk kültür hayatında okçuluk faaliyetlerinin farklı etkinlik ortamlarında ve yerine getirdiği işlevler bakımından oldukça zengin bir uygulama alanına sahip olduğu görülür. Okçuluğa yönelik yeteneklerin geliştirilmesine imkan sağlayan avcılık, ekonomik değeri dışında; askeri, sosyal, yönetsel ve sportif işlevlerinin ön plana çıktığı görülür. Belli yoğunlukta bir ön çalışmayı gerektiren, askeri bayramların ve dinsel kökenli, törenli okçuluk yarışmalarının düzenlenmek suretiyle sportif yarışma amaçlı organizasyonların da toplum hayatında yer aldığı görülür.
