The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of the constructivist learning theory on the fifth year students\' success in Mathematics. The study has been carried out as semi-experimental. The subject group is the fifth year students. The data of the research have been attained employing students' achievement scores and their attitudes towards Mathematics and have been analyzed through t-test in SPSS programme. Besides, the researcher has observed the subject group and the observation results have been analyzed in a descriptive way. It has been found out that there hasn\'t been a significant gain in the fifth year Mathematics courses of the subject group. However, the students who have been taught in the environments prepared under the light of the constructivist approach have been observed to be more enthusiastic about the course.
Bu çalışma ile oluşturmacı yaklaşımın 5. sınıf öğrencilerinin matematik başarısına etkisi araştırılmıştır. Araştırma yarı-deneysel olup; ilköğretim okulu 5. sınıf öğrencileri ile yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın verileri, başarı testi ve matematik tutum ölçeği kullanılarak elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler bağımsız t-testi ile SPSS paket programında analiz edilmiştir. Ayrıca, oluşturmacı yaklaşıma göre tasarlanmış öğrenme ortamlarının öğrenci üzerindeki etkisini incelemek amacıyla deney grubunun öğrencileri araştırmacı tarafından gözlemlenmiş ve gözlem sonuçları betimsel olarak analiz edilmiştir.
